Frequently Asked Questions
常见问题
Why do you need birth details for the parents?
In traditional Chinese wedding date selection, the date should be auspicious for all key family members, not just the couple. We check that the date doesn't clash with any of the six people involved (couple + four parents) to ensure family harmony on the big day.
What is San Niang Sha (三娘煞)?
San Niang Sha refers to six specific days in each lunar month (3rd, 7th, 13th, 18th, 22nd, and 27th) that are traditionally considered inauspicious for weddings. Legend says these are days when the 'Third Lady' deity causes obstacles to marriage ceremonies.
What is the bride fetching time (接新娘)?
This is the auspicious hour for the groom to arrive at the bride's home to formally receive her. The timing is calculated based on both the wedding date and the bride's BaZi to ensure a smooth and auspicious start to the marriage.
What is the bed setting ceremony (安床)?
An Chuang (安床) is the traditional ceremony of setting up the marital bed. It should be done on an auspicious day before the wedding, typically by a 'good fortune woman' (好命婆). We provide the optimal date and time for this ceremony.
