Frequently Asked Questions
常见问题
Why are all names 3 characters?
Traditional Chinese names consist of a one-character surname plus a two-character given name. This 3-character structure allows for proper Wu Ge (Five Grids) calculations and provides the best balance of meaning, sound, and numerological significance. Single-character given names do not allow for complete Five Grids analysis.
Why use Kangxi strokes instead of simplified strokes?
The Kangxi dictionary (康熙字典) stroke counting system is the traditional standard used in Chinese name numerology for over 300 years. Simplified character strokes don't align with classical Wu Ge calculations. For example, 亚 has 8 strokes in Kangxi but only 6 in simplified - this difference significantly affects the numerological analysis.
Can I suggest specific characters or names?
Yes! You can provide characters you would like to include (such as a generation character shared with siblings) and characters you want to avoid (such as names of cousins, elders, or other family members). We will incorporate these preferences into our analysis.
What if I don't like the suggested names?
The report provides 5 complete name recommendations with detailed analysis. If none suit your preferences, please contact us within 7 days and we'll provide additional options at no extra cost. We want you to find the perfect name for your child.
