What services does Master Chun offer?

How accurate are the calculations?
计算准确吗？
Our calculations use traditional formulas that have been refined over centuries. We use Kangxi Dictionary stroke counts, established Wu Ge numerology, and authentic BaZi methods. All results are reviewed by Master Chun with over 30 years of experience.

What information do I need to provide for baby naming?

You'll need to provide the baby's birth date, birth time, gender, and your surname. We use this to analyze the BaZi (Four Pillars) and determine which elements are favorable for your child.

What is Wu Ge (Five Grids) numerology?

Wu Ge is a name analysis system that examines five numerical configurations derived from the stroke counts of Chinese characters: Tian Ge (天格), Ren Ge (人格), Di Ge (地格), Wai Ge (外格), and Zong Ge (总格). Each affects different aspects of life.

Why do you use Kangxi Dictionary stroke counts?
为什么使用康熙字典笔画？
Traditional name analysis requires using the original stroke counts from the Kangxi Dictionary (康熙字典), not simplified character strokes. For example, 华 has 14 strokes in Kangxi but only 6 in simplified form. Using the correct strokes is essential for accurate Wu Ge calculations.

What is BaZi (Four Pillars)?

BaZi (八字), also known as Four Pillars of Destiny, is a Chinese astrological system based on your birth year, month, day, and hour. Each pillar consists of a Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch, creating a unique chart that reveals your personality, strengths, and life path.
八字，又称四柱命理，是基于出生年、月、日、时的中国命理系统。每柱由天干和地支组成，形成揭示性格、优势和人生道路的独特命盘。
Do I need my exact birth time?
需要准确的出生时间吗？
Yes, birth time is important for accurate BaZi readings. The Hour Pillar (时柱) reveals important information about your inner self and later life. If you don't know your exact time, we can provide a reading based on the other three pillars, though it will be less complete.

What is the Day Master (日主)?

The Day Master is the Heavenly Stem of your Day Pillar and represents your core self. It's one of ten types (甲乙丙丁戊己庚辛壬癸), each associated with a specific element and yin/yang quality. Understanding your Day Master is key to understanding your BaZi chart.

What dates do you help select?

We offer date selection for three major life events: Caesarean birth (剖腹产), Wedding ceremonies (结婚), and Moving into a new home (入伙). Each uses traditional Chinese almanac methods to find the most auspicious dates.

What is San Niang Sha (三娘煞)?
什么是三娘煞？
San Niang Sha refers to six inauspicious days each lunar month (3rd, 7th, 13th, 18th, 22nd, and 27th) that are traditionally avoided for weddings. Our date selection automatically excludes these days.
三娘煞指每个农历月的六个不宜婚嫁的日子（初三、初七、十三、十八、廿二、廿七）。我们的择日服务会自动排除这些日子。
Why do you check family members' birthdates for wedding dates?
为什么结婚择日要查家人生辰？
Traditional wedding date selection considers the zodiac signs of both the bride and groom, as well as their parents. We check for zodiac clashes (六冲) to ensure the chosen date is harmonious for the entire family.

What is included in a Caesarean date report?

Our report includes the top recommended birth dates within your medical window, the BaZi chart preview for each date, optimal birth hours (时辰), Day Master analysis, and a destiny overview for your child based on each potential birth date.

Do you offer on-site home or office Feng Shui consultations?
你们提供上门住宅或办公室风水服务吗？
No, we do not offer on-site Feng Shui readings. Master Chun has dedicated his practice exclusively to destiny analysis (命理) and date selection (择日) - areas where he has cultivated deep expertise over 30 years. On-site Feng Shui assessment requires a different specialization involving landform analysis (峦头) and compass school methods (理气), which falls outside our focused practice. We believe in doing a few things exceptionally well rather than offering services beyond our core expertise.
